Scholars Bowl Scholars Bowl is an Academic competition between parochial schools. Students in 7th and 8th grade may participate. There are 4 meets a year. Religion Bowl Religion Bowl is a religious competition between parochial schools. Students in 7th and 8th grade may participate. There is one meet a year. Battle of the Books Battle of the books is an academic competition based on a pre-assigned book list. Students in 5th and 6th grade may participate. There are 4 meets a year. The book list changes each year. The following is a list of the books for the 2008-2009 school year: Counting on Grace, Drita, my homegirl, Free Baseball, Gregor the Overlander, Just for you to know, Lawn Boy, The liberation of Gabriel King, Listening for lions, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, One-handed catch, Room One: A mystery or two, Rules, Secret school, The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs, Touching spirit bear, Stormbreaker, Under the Blood-red Sun, Wanted…Mud Blossom, Water street, and The Year of Miss Agnes. Science Olympiad Science Olympiad is an academic competition based on multiple science concepts. All middle school students are able to participate. There are several meets a year.
