Pack 585 News

Our next pack meeting is Saturday, January 30, at 7 pm, in the gym. It is our annual Pinewood Derby races, plus an overnight campin. Watch this space (hopefully) for photos from the races.

Pictured below are some Tigers (first graders) who had a great time at the October pack meeting which was also the Raingutter Regatta.  

Troop 585 News

January 15-16 the troop is participating in "Trappers' Rendezvous" at Harvey County Lake West. It's cold weather camping with the added idea of seeing how trappers existed in the 1800's. If a Scout can survive this overnight camping, he can survive ANYTHING!

Troop 585 celebrated an Eagle Court of Honor with Ray Nolla. (The rank of Eagle is the highest rank a Boy Scout may earn.) He joined a number of other young men in the troop who have earned this rank. Pictured below is Ray lighting the cnadle representing the Eagle Scout rank - his brother Cesar (also an Eagle Scout) is behind him. The next photo includes his parents. Photos of all our Eagle Scouts can be found in the Church basement in the hallway at the west end of Stewardship Hall.

Boys may join Boy Scouts any time during the year. We continue to meet most Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 pm. Contact Scoutmaster Don Petr at 686-7893 for more information.
