The high school youth group is ministry to, with, by and for youth. The purpose of the youth ministry program for high-school aged youth is to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of high school aged youth and invite young people into responsible and meaningful participation in the life of the Church. In fulfilling its mission, the youth group, along with the total Church community, recognizes that youth are the Church today as well as tomorrow.
High School Youth Group Recent Events
Resurrection HSYG members (which includes anyone in high school, including current 8th graders who are almost freshman!) participated in a "Scavenger hunt on foot" this past Saturday evening. After 5:30 Mass, the high schoolers met in the youth room for hamburgers, chips, and soda and then set out on their scavenger hunt, scowering the Church grounds and nearby neighborhoods for such interesting items as "a 1977 penny", "leaf from an aloe plant", "last Friday's newspaper", and many other one of a kind items. Congratulations to the seniors, who won the contest in a narrow victory.
