Pennies War: The class who brings the most change for Sister’s Shoes will win ice cream on Friday, Feb. 10^th

Bring a dollar for Sister’s Shoes if you want to wear any kind of shoe on Thursday (dollars may be brought any day of the week until Thursday)

Tuesday

Dress Like Your Twin Day (No shorts, if you are not sure about your choice of clothing – ask Mr. Angelo) Jeans Day for those not dressing as twins.

All Grades meet in the gym at 2:00 to read for 20 minutes and 12 seconds and Teacher vs. 8^th Grade Religion Bowl

Spelling Bee 8:30

Family Pizza Lunch 11:15 (Come and eat lunch as a family.)

Dancing with Joy for the Lord

Resurrection Catholic School will proudly participate in this third annual Walk in Sister’s Shoes because we want to imitate St. Katharine Drexel in helping the poor.  Walk in Sister’s Shoes will run from January 6 to February 3.

During this month, the children will be learning about St. Katharine Drexel.  In addition, we will ask students to follow St. Katharine Drexel’s example by collecting money in the shoeboxes in their classroom.  Additionally, your child's homeroom teachers will be contacting you to discuss other activities which will be implemented.

Last year, the children of our Catholic schools raised more than $45,000 in Walk in Sister’s Shoes, or nearly $4.50 for every child in our Catholic schools.  That was an amazing amount to raise.  This year we are asking you and your children to be generous again.  It is our fervent hope that as more people learn about the great works of the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School Fund, they will respond as generously as our children do.  If you would like to learn more about the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School Fund, go to DrexelCatholicSchoolFund.org.
