You have all been very generous with your Christmas gifts.  Thank you.  My family and I had a wonderful holiday-I'm lucky to have my children living in the area.

The sixth graders will be starting the mythology unit which corresponds with social studies.  Mr. Angleo tells me they have really taken an active interest.  I have so many good literature selection (mostly from Read Magazine) which we will use.  We will continue doing vocabulary lessons, punctuation, and writing.

The seventh graders will be starting a thematic unit entitled "Survival Tales";  I have many good literature selections which will work well with writing and comprehension skills.  They are working on vocabulary lessons and punctuation.

The eighth graders have a huge due date-January 12-when all their notes for the culminating project are due.  This includes notes from the interview.  We will be starting our Anne Frank unit this nine weeks also.
