Each middle school student received a sheet of approximately 100 important Catholic items to be memorized.  They will be quizzed over these according to the following schedule.  Each quiz will include the new category as well as all prior categories, culminating in a comprehensive test as listed.

10 commandments and 2 Great commandments: September 1

Precepts of the Church and Seven Deadly Sins: September 15

Corporal Works of Mercy and Spiritual Works of Mercy: September 29

Virtues, Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Sacraments, and Holy Days of Obligation: October 13

Mysteries of the Rosary: October 27

Stations of the Cross: November 10

Comprehensive Test: December 1

I hope everyone had a great summer and is excited for the new school year!  I look forward to a great year of religion class with all three middle school grades.  In each class we will strive to know, love, and serve God better through our study of His Word and His Church.  Each class will spend time learning and reviewing many Catholic fundamentals, and in addition sixth grade will focus on the Old Testament and the liturgical year, seventh grade will focus on the New Testament and the Sacraments, and eighth grade will focus on Church History and Catholic Morality.
