I remember my days as a youth when the summer was winding down and school was getting ready to start...There was anxiety, excitement, and of course a little sadness that my summer break was coming to an end and it would soon be time to hit the books once again.
While I'm sure that many of the RCS students have some of the same emotions right now, I must say that after being at the school for inservices for the last few days, I can hardly wait to get the school year started.
The building looks phenomenal. The students will be amazed at how much we've grown and how much more at ease they'll be during the day. For middle school, the students will be very happy to see the size of the hallways...no more cramming in the hallways during passing periods! The new rooms have to be seen to be believed. Make sure to stop by on Meet the Teacher Night!
Speaking of the teachers, we are all ready to roll. The faculty at RCS is top-notch, and I'm saying that completely free of bias. :) Expect lots of good things from your teachers this year!
So as summer winds down, students, remember: It's okay to be anxious, it's even okay to be sad that break is coming to an end...but be excited, because this year looks to be the best yet for Resurrection Catholic School, and you are a part of it!
In Christ,
